Friendship
How many times do we take friends for granted. Yesterday in my Quiet Time I read in Ruth 1. It talks about when Naomiand her husband and sons go to Moab to escape a famine. While they are there her sons get married, but they also did as well as her husband. When the famine ended and she got ready to go back to Bethleham her daughters-in law Ruth and Orpah started to go with her. But Naomi kept persisting that they go and live with their families and find themselves a new husband. After her persisting Orpah left, but Ruth would not leave. She was a great friend and daughter-in-law to Naomi.
How many of us would stick by our friends no matter what they were going through. But we need to remmber that we have a friend in Jesus and he sticks closer to us than any brother. Hope this encourages you like it encouraged me.
